The Basic Moves of Forrest Yoga are at the heart of healing. They are created as local actions that generate unifying body-wide affects. They are foundational active points of reference for ourselves in our own practice and for “seeing” when we are looking at our students.
This course is designed to give FY teachers a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Basic Moves and how to use them in our teaching with more nuance and effectiveness in regard to working with injuries or dysfunctional movement patterns.

An ability to articulate the 7 Basic Moves and how they are useful
An ability to “see” how the 7 Basic Moves are operating in a students Asana
An ability to use the 7 Basic Moves in working with Injuries
Develop their ability at speaking concise questions during Student Assessment
Develop their ability to “hear” what is being said and what is not being said
Develop their awareness of how the 7 Basic Moves are operating in their own body
Develop an awareness of how to use the 7 Basic Moves more effectively in their own body and in their students bodies.
